Dance Club 76 is a non-profit organization for the enjoyment of ballroom dancing and the recreation it provides. Dances to a DJ are held monthly, generally the second Friday night, from 7:00 to 10:00 PM.
All events are held at the Dixon American Legion Hall, 68th Street and Douglas Avenue, Urbandale, Iowa, (map) unless noted otherwise. Annual membership is $50/person and includes admission to eleven monthly dances – the Christmas dinner/dance is not included, however members receive a discounted price. Paid members may bring up to eight guests per dance at no cost, however guests can attend free only once per year. Members are expected to sign up to help with set up and cleanup at two of the monthly dances.
Walk-in guests are welcome. If not sponsored by a member, the cost for non-members is $10. Most regulars bring a treat to share, however guests should not feel obligated.
